New York City wedding photographer and photographer extraordinaire James McBride is getting married this weekend and he’s already got a bride to thank.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, the 49-year-old, who was born in Brooklyn, said he’s “really excited” about his first day of marriage on the East Coast.
“It’s going to be a real whirlwind,” he said of the day he and his fiancee will tie the knot on Saturday.
“I think I’m going to have the most fun of my life.
I have no idea what I’m doing yet, but I’m excited about it.
He also said he “absolutely” wants to get a picture with the bride, a “beautiful lady,” and the groom, a former actor, when the ceremony takes place. “
And it’s going be a little crazy, but it’s a good day.”

“There’s a little bit of a moment of nervousness,” McBride said of his planning.
“But I’ve always been very positive.
I’ve never had a nervous moment.
You look beautiful!'” “
You know, I love to take pictures and people will come and be like, ‘Oh, we love you so much!
You look beautiful!'”
McBride, who also owns a photography studio, was born to a single mom and works with his mother to raise money for charity.
He says he grew up watching his mother get married.
“My mom was so happy that she had a big ceremony and she was able to give me my first wedding ring,” he told PEOPLE.
“So that was pretty special for me.”
